On an average day on the ranch, a natural look might be more appropriate, but not for the rodeo. You want a stunning bold look that will stay on while you get down and dirty. So here are makeup tips for a flattering look that won’t budge, can be quickly applied, and has a natural look that all cowgirls love.
No cowgirl wants that heavy feeling of face products. At Cowgirl Dirt we use the purest of ingredients to give you a full, yet lightweight feel. We recommend our Rio Grande Foundation, Mustang Powder Concealer, and Let's Ride Finishing Powder. This combination will feel so natural and weightless that you won’t even be able to tell that you have makeup on.
Use a kabuki brush to distribute bronzer all over your face to create the healthy, sun-kissed glow. Use a flat brush to apply blush to your cheekbones, to enhance and define your cheeks. Remember the lights in the arena, or the bright sun can cause you to look flush so pick a color a little stronger than you normally would choose.
You can choose to go smokey or just eyeliner with falsies. For a smokey eye look, stick to black or blue eyeshadow on the eyelid. Blend it into the crease with a soft brown color and dab a highlighter into your brow bone.
The highlighter will make your smoky eyes pop even more and make your eyes look more open.
For eyeliner, only black and brown are good shade options. Apply a line of eyeliner to your eyelid, next to your eyelashes. Extend the eyeliner slightly past the corner of your eye, to accentuate the shape of your eye.
In the arena, you want to stand out. We recommend a matte lipstick. Matte colors tend to stay on longer. You can use any color that you desire, even a bright red if you want a bold look. Top it off with a gloss to give your lips a perfect shine.
For a down to earth, natural look, you can finish the lips off with either a nude, peachy or mauve color. It will work perfectly with your look.
